BUISSON CHARLES
Domaine Buisson Charles, led by father and son Patrick and Louis Essa, stands as a premier Meursault producer in the heart of this renowned Burgundian appellation. Covering 8 hectares, the estate boasts a rich legacy of winemaking, rooted in the Buisson family's long line of vignerons. Patrick's wife, Catherine Buisson, daughter of Michel Buisson, adds to the winemaking heritage.
Devoted to thoughtful and organic practices, Domaine Buisson Charles ploughs its vineyards instead of using weedkiller, with small yields and meticulous hand harvesting. Their reds, fermented with whole clusters, exude a delightful bouquet and rich personality, while the vigorous and powerful whites express each vineyard's nuances. Despite being among the last to pick grapes, the wines maintain remarkable balance, skillfully integrating ripeness with acidity for exceptional length.
With vine age varying from 40 to 100 plus years, their naturally low-yield vines produce concentrated wines destined for extended aging. Recognized as a connoisseur's delight, Buisson-Charles wines are classic Meursault—concentrated, pristine, and complex, reflecting the essence of their terroir. A historic estate now managed by the 5th generation, it holds a revered position in the Côte de Beaune's winemaking tradition.
