ALBERT JOLY
Domaine Albert Joly, a small family-owned estate in Puligny- Montrachet, carries a rich history spanning several generations. The current owner, Madame Sylvie Prevot-Joly, took over the estate in 2007 from her father Albert. Collaborating with her brother-in-law Gilles Gerard, she continues the tradition of producing pure and classic Puligny whites. With 4.5 hectares of vineyards, the estate focuses on crafting Puligny Montrachet Village wines from different lieux- dits, including "Les Tremblots", "Les Charmes" and the latest addition in 2022, "Les Reucheaux".
Due to the excellence in their produce, the village wines of Domaine Albert Joly are often at the level of Premier Cru. The vines in the "Les Tremblots" and "Les Reucheaux" plots are up to 60 years old, while the remaining plots generally feature vines that are 40 years or older. Natural fermentations and minimal sulfite application are employed in winemaking, and light filtration is performed before bottling, based on a date determined by the Lunar Calendar. With a growing reputation and increasing attention from wine lovers worldwide, Domaine Joly continues to deliver refined and noteworthy whites that are highly sought after.
